PRIVACY POLICY

Last Updated: June 7, 2021

This privacy policy (“Policy”) describes how Corpvessel, Inc. (d/b/a “Haven”) (“Company” or “Haven” or “we”) collect, use and share personal information of consumer users of this website, [www.reservehaven.com] (the “Site”). This Policy also applies to any of our other websites that post this Policy. This Policy does not apply to websites that post different statements.

When this Privacy Policy uses the term “Host,” we mean activity hosts or event creators using the Services to create events for subscribers and other consumers using our Services (a) to consume information about, or attend, activities or events (“Consumers”), or (b) for any other reason. Hosts, Consumers and third parties using our Services are all referred to in these Terms collectively as “Users”, “you” or “your”.

WHAT WE COLLECT

We may get information about you in a range of ways.

Information You Give Us. We may collect your‎ name, postal address, email address, phone number, fax number, username, password, demographic information (such as your gender and occupation) as well as other information you directly give us on our Site.

Information We Get From Others. We may get information about you from other sources. We may add this to information we get from this Site.

Information Automatically Collected. We may log information about you and your computer. For example, when visiting our Site, we may log your computer operating system type, browser type, browser language, the website you visited before browsing to our Site, pages you viewed, how long you spent on a page, access times and information about your use of and actions on our Site.

Cookies. We may log information using “cookies.” Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive by a website. We may use both session Cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent Cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience on our Site.  This type of information is collected to make the Site more useful to you and to tailor the experience with us to meet your special interests and needs. The following are types of cookies we may use:

Essential website cookies: These cookies are strictly necessary to provide you with services available through our Sites and to use some of its features, such as access to secure areas.

Performance and functionality cookies: These cookies are used to enhance the performance and functionality of our Sites but are non-essential to their use. However, without these cookies, certain functionality may become unavailable.

Analytics and customization cookies: These cookies collect information that is used either in aggregate form to help us understand how our Sites are being used or how effective our marketing campaigns are, or to help us customize our Sites for you.

Advertising cookies: These cookies are used to make advertising messages more relevant to you and they perform functions like preventing the same ad from continuously reappearing and in some cases selecting and displaying advertisements to you across the internet that are based on your interests.

Social networking cookies: These cookies are used to enable you to share pages and content that you find interesting on our Sites through third party social networking and other websites. These cookies may also be used for advertising purposes too.

Further, Haven may use other, similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons (sometimes called "tracking pixels" or "clear gifs"). These are small graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enable us to recognize when someone has visited our Sites or opened an e-mail that we have sent them. This allows us, for example, to monitor the traffic patterns of users from one page within our Sites to another, to deliver or communicate with cookies, to understand whether you have come to our Sites from an online advertisement displayed on a third-party website, to improve site performance, and to measure the success of e-mail marketing campaigns. In many instances, these technologies are reliant on cookies to function properly, and so declining cookies will impair their functioning.
Our mobile applications may include third-party application software development kits that provide mobile performance and analytics data, bug reporting features, and APIs to third parties that help provide the Site, for social media functionality, and for marketing and advertising.

Specific Information Collected From Hosts.

If you are a Host, we will collect in addition to the above:

  • Information you provide to us: In some cases, we may collect your credit card information (e.g., your credit card number and expiration date, billing address, etc.), some of which may constitute personal data, to secure certain payments. In addition, if you use our payment processing services, we will collect financial information from you (e.g., your bank account information or an address to send checks) as necessary to facilitate payments and information required for tax purposes (e.g., your taxpayer identification number).
  • Information we obtain from other sources: We may also collect or receive personal data including your name, email address and other contact information from third party sources, such as third party websites and marketing partners, your bank, our payment processing partners and credit reporting agencies.

Specific Information Collected From Consumers.

If you are a Consumer, we will collect in addition to the above (sometimes for our own purposes and other times on behalf of a Host).

  • Information you provide: In addition to your subscription to the Haven platform, if you register for a paid activity that is not part of your subscription, you will provide financial information (e.g., your credit card number and expiration date, billing address, etc.) some of which may constitute personal data. In addition, Hosts can set up event registration pages to collect virtually any information from Consumers in connection with registration for a Host’s activity or event listed on the Services. Haven does not control a Host’s registration process nor the personal data that they collect. When you register for, or otherwise provide information to Haven in conjunction with a Host event or activity, whether that information is yours or a third party’s, in connection with a purchase, registration, or transfer, that Host will receive and may use the information you provide. Please see below, the subsection titled “How We Disclose and Transfer Your Personal Data: Hosts” for more information about a Host’s receipt and use of your personal data.
  • Information we obtain from other sources: We may also collect or receive personal data from third party sources, such as Hosts, other Consumers, social media or other third party integrations, your credit card issuing bank, our payment processing partners or other third parties.

USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may use your personal information as follows:

  • We may use your personal information to operate, maintain, and improve our sites, products, and services.
  • We may use your personal information to send information including confirmations, invoices, technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages.
  • We may use your personal information to protect, investigate, and deter against fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity.
  • We may use your personal information to provide and deliver products and services customers request.
  • We may collect credit card information from you as payment for our products and services.

[In addition, we may allow Hosts to use our email tools to contact Consumers for their current and past events, so you may receive emails from our system that originate with such Hosts and that we send on their behalf. If you registered for an event on the Services, your email address is available to that Host. However, Hosts may also import the email addresses they have from external sources and send communications through the Services to those email addresses, and we will deliver those communications to those email addresses on the Host’s behalf. The Host and not Haven is responsible for sending these emails. See “Opt Out from Electronic Communications” below on how to opt out of Host-initiated communications.]

Further, when you register for an event, sign up for communications, or otherwise input your personal data (such as through a web form) to communicate with a Host or participate in a Host’s activity or event, that Host will receive that information. The Host may then send you marketing or other communications, which may be subject to its own, separate privacy policy. Likewise, if you provide your mobile phone number, you may receive information messages related to the service, event, activity or information in which you’ve expressed interest.

When you pay for access to or register for an activity or event, or otherwise input your personal data (such as through a web form), or otherwise communicate with an Host, or participate in or express interest in an Host or Host event or activity, that Host will receive the information you provide, including your personal data, and where a ticket or registration is transferred, the personal data of the transferee as well. Other third parties that are involved in or on whose behalf an event or activity is promoted, may receive that personal data as well.

We are not responsible for the actions of these Hosts, or third parties engaged by a Host, which may or may not be affiliated with the Host, to create an event on its behalf (a “Third Party Organizer”) (or other downstream recipients of your personal data), with respect to your personal data. It is important that you review the applicable policies of the Host, and if applicable and available, their appointed Third Party Organizers, of an event (and the related third party web page, if applicable) before providing personal data or other information in connection with that event page.

SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may share personal information as follows:

  • We may share personal information with your consent. For example, you may let us share personal information with others for their own marketing uses. Those uses will be subject to their privacy policies.
  • We may share personal information when we do a business deal, or negotiate a business deal, involving the sale or transfer of all or a part of our business or assets. These deals can include any merger, financing, acquisition, or bankruptcy transaction or proceeding.
  • We may share personal information for legal, protection, and safety purposes.
  • We may share information to comply with laws.
  • We may share information to respond to lawful requests and legal processes.
  • We may share information to protect the rights and property of the Company, our agents, customers, and others. This includes enforcing our agreements, policies, and terms of use.
  • We may share information in an emergency. This includes protecting the safety of you, our employees and agents, our customers, or any person.
  • We may share information with those who need it to do work for us.
  • In the event we collect credit card information from you, this information will only be used for business purposes and will be stored in a confidential manner.

We may also share aggregated and/or anonymized data with others for their own uses.

Our marketing emails tell you how to “opt-out.” If you opt out, we may still send you non-marketing emails. Non-marketing emails include emails about your accounts and our business dealings with you.

You may send requests about personal information to our Contact Information below. You can request to change contact choices, opt-out of our sharing with others, and update your personal information.

We use reasonable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information to protect the personal information that we collect and process about you. The measures we use are designed to provide a level of security appropriate to the risk of processing your personal information. We monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks. You have the following additional data protection rights:

  • you may correct, amend, or delete your personal information by editing your profile on the Site or contacting us directly.
  • residents in California (and other states where required by law) have certain rights with respect to the personal information collected by businesses. If you are a resident of any such state, you may exercise the following rights regarding your personal information, subject to certain exceptions and limitations:
  • for certain categories of personal information, the right to request a list of what personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year and the names and addresses of those third parties;
  • the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell about you, the categories of sources from which we collected your personal information, our purposes for collecting or selling your personal information, the categories of your personal information that we have either sold or disclosed for a business purpose, and the categories of third parties with which we have shared personal information;
  • the right to request that we delete the personal information we have collected from you or maintain about you;
  • the right to opt out of our sale(s) of your personal information (if any); and
  • the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for the exercise of the privacy rights conferred by the CCPA.

You can do this by authorizing your agent to access your Haven account and making a request on your behalf by contacting us.  We respond to all requests we receive from individuals wishing to exercise their data protection rights in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Security

We use reasonable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information to protect the personal information that we collect and process about you. The measures we use are designed to provide a level of security appropriate to the risk of processing your personal information. We monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks. However, we cannot guarantee 100% security of any information that you transmit to us.

Host-initiated Communications.

Hosts may use our email tools to send electronic communications to those on their email subscription lists, including Consumers who have registered for their events on the Services in the past. Although these electronic communications may be sent through our system, Haven does not determine the content or the recipients of these electronic communications. Hosts are required to use our email tools only in accordance with all applicable laws. Haven provides an “Unsubscribe” link on each of these emails, which allows recipients to “opt out” of electronic communications from the particular Host.

Transactional or Responsive Communications.

Certain electronic communications from Haven are responsive to your requests, such as emails containing your reservation or registration on behalf of a Host when you purchase such reservation or registration. Notwithstanding any unsubscribe election that you have made, you will still receive these transactional or responsive emails.

Retention.

It may take up to forty-eight (48) hours for us to process an unsubscribe request. Even after you opt out of all electronic communications, we will retain your Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy, however, we will no longer use it to contact you. However, Hosts who have received your Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy may still use that Personal Data to contact you in accordance with their own privacy policies, but they may not use our system to do so.

You are able to remove and reject cookies from our Site with most browser settings. Many browsers are set to accept cookies until you change your settings. If you remove or reject our cookies, it could affect how our Site works for you.
