We may get information about you in a range of ways.
Information You Give Us. We may collect your name, postal address, email address, phone number, fax number, username, password, demographic information (such as your gender and occupation) as well as other information you directly give us on our Site.
Information We Get From Others. We may get information about you from other sources. We may add this to information we get from this Site.
Information Automatically Collected. We may log information about you and your computer. For example, when visiting our Site, we may log your computer operating system type, browser type, browser language, the website you visited before browsing to our Site, pages you viewed, how long you spent on a page, access times and information about your use of and actions on our Site.
Cookies. We may log information using “cookies.” Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive by a website. We may use both session Cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent Cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience on our Site. This type of information is collected to make the Site more useful to you and to tailor the experience with us to meet your special interests and needs. The following are types of cookies we may use:
Essential website cookies: These cookies are strictly necessary to provide you with services available through our Sites and to use some of its features, such as access to secure areas.
Performance and functionality cookies: These cookies are used to enhance the performance and functionality of our Sites but are non-essential to their use. However, without these cookies, certain functionality may become unavailable.
Analytics and customization cookies: These cookies collect information that is used either in aggregate form to help us understand how our Sites are being used or how effective our marketing campaigns are, or to help us customize our Sites for you.
Advertising cookies: These cookies are used to make advertising messages more relevant to you and they perform functions like preventing the same ad from continuously reappearing and in some cases selecting and displaying advertisements to you across the internet that are based on your interests.
Social networking cookies: These cookies are used to enable you to share pages and content that you find interesting on our Sites through third party social networking and other websites. These cookies may also be used for advertising purposes too.
Further, Haven may use other, similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons (sometimes called "tracking pixels" or "clear gifs"). These are small graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enable us to recognize when someone has visited our Sites or opened an e-mail that we have sent them. This allows us, for example, to monitor the traffic patterns of users from one page within our Sites to another, to deliver or communicate with cookies, to understand whether you have come to our Sites from an online advertisement displayed on a third-party website, to improve site performance, and to measure the success of e-mail marketing campaigns. In many instances, these technologies are reliant on cookies to function properly, and so declining cookies will impair their functioning.
Our mobile applications may include third-party application software development kits that provide mobile performance and analytics data, bug reporting features, and APIs to third parties that help provide the Site, for social media functionality, and for marketing and advertising.
Specific Information Collected From Hosts.
If you are a Host, we will collect in addition to the above:
Specific Information Collected From Consumers.
If you are a Consumer, we will collect in addition to the above (sometimes for our own purposes and other times on behalf of a Host).
USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may use your personal information as follows:
[In addition, we may allow Hosts to use our email tools to contact Consumers for their current and past events, so you may receive emails from our system that originate with such Hosts and that we send on their behalf. If you registered for an event on the Services, your email address is available to that Host. However, Hosts may also import the email addresses they have from external sources and send communications through the Services to those email addresses, and we will deliver those communications to those email addresses on the Host’s behalf. The Host and not Haven is responsible for sending these emails. See “Opt Out from Electronic Communications” below on how to opt out of Host-initiated communications.]
When you pay for access to or register for an activity or event, or otherwise input your personal data (such as through a web form), or otherwise communicate with an Host, or participate in or express interest in an Host or Host event or activity, that Host will receive the information you provide, including your personal data, and where a ticket or registration is transferred, the personal data of the transferee as well. Other third parties that are involved in or on whose behalf an event or activity is promoted, may receive that personal data as well.
We are not responsible for the actions of these Hosts, or third parties engaged by a Host, which may or may not be affiliated with the Host, to create an event on its behalf (a “Third Party Organizer”) (or other downstream recipients of your personal data), with respect to your personal data. It is important that you review the applicable policies of the Host, and if applicable and available, their appointed Third Party Organizers, of an event (and the related third party web page, if applicable) before providing personal data or other information in connection with that event page.
SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may share personal information as follows:
We may also share aggregated and/or anonymized data with others for their own uses.
INFORMATION CHOICES AND CHANGES
Our marketing emails tell you how to “opt-out.” If you opt out, we may still send you non-marketing emails. Non-marketing emails include emails about your accounts and our business dealings with you.
You may send requests about personal information to our Contact Information below. You can request to change contact choices, opt-out of our sharing with others, and update your personal information.
We use reasonable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information to protect the personal information that we collect and process about you. The measures we use are designed to provide a level of security appropriate to the risk of processing your personal information. We monitor our systems for possible vulnerabilities and attacks. However, we cannot guarantee 100% security of any information that you send us.
You have the following additional data protection rights:
We use reasonable security procedures and practices appropriate to the nature of the information to protect the personal information that we collect and process about you. Hosts may use our email tools to send electronic communications to those on their email subscription lists, including Consumers who have registered for their events on the Services in the past. Although these electronic communications may be sent through our system, Haven does not determine the content or the recipients of these electronic communications. Hosts are required to use our email tools only in accordance with all applicable laws. Haven provides an “Unsubscribe” link on each of these emails, which allows recipients to “opt out” of electronic communications from the particular Host.
Transactional or Responsive Communications.
Certain electronic communications from Haven are responsive to your requests, such as emails containing your reservation or registration on behalf of a Host when you purchase such reservation or registration. Notwithstanding any unsubscribe election that you have made, you will still receive these transactional or responsive emails.
